Discovering a hidden gem, this place is a rare find. Jimmy and his family, exceptional hosts, create a safe haven for my motorcycles. With superb local food just around the corner, it's a perfect haven—one couldn't ask for more.
Jimmy and Yudy have created an oasis. The camping spaces are very nice, has an outdoor kitchen, showers, a pool, a washer, and a beautiful common area. After 1 night we decided to stay 3 nights. We had been staying in campgrounds along the Pan-American Highway and this place is BY FAR THE BEST since leaving the US. Jimmy’s is a 5 minute walk away from the cute little town with a big history. There is a mining museum and three fantastic restaurants there. Such a cute place. Plus Jimmy and his family are super nice and so is his buddy, Tom.
This is a nice place to stay. Very clean and Jimmy and Yudy are very kind hosts. The pool is great from spring to fall. Definitely recommended!
One of the best places on the Baja with the great amenities (gym, pool, salon, really nice common areas/kitchens, free laundry, hot showers). A fantastic break from the beach. Jimmy the owner and his wife are great fun to hang with and they even have a wine bar and pizza. The town is super cute with a rich history with museums, hiking and amazing restaurants/bakery (unfortunately they all close at 5pm). Definitely plan to stay for a few days.
Bing! Every once in awhile you stumble across the best place with a strong hospitality game. For sure this quirky little place should be on your short list of whacky places to try. A roadside attraction to rival all roadside attractions. But not because there is the largest ball or yarn or a palace made of corn. Nope, this place is freaky cool because the keener/proprietor/resident Jimmy has a hosting style that makes you absolutely believe that your staying in your own home. It’s that comfortable. He built the whole thing with locally available materials, but with and American sense of engineering. Fascinating. And Jimmy has done what so many want to do, he’s made a go of it in Mexico choosing to live a life of easy leisure punctuated with fits of creativity whose result is your comfy home away from home. It’s Mexican. It’s not. It is perfect. Go and see why.
